A memorable trip to India – Part 3

 Hi guys,

This last and final post of the series is the reason I went to India in the first place; to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday. It is done as ceremony to renew the couple’s vows as per south indian traditions (Sashtyapthapoorthi). We had a lot of fun prepping for the wedding and at the wedding. We also had a small photo shoot after the wedding. I am sharing a few pictures with you all.
You know you are all set to celebrate when you have beautiful mehendi drawn on your hands. You feel extra special when your dad or husband feeds you food while you enjoy the beauty of the henna design and the aroma of mehendi. My mom being the bride chose peacock designs for both of us. Here are a few pictures.
Let us now set the stage for the bride and groom to tie the knot once again and watch them say “I still do.”

And they finally tie the knot.

A few pictures now from the photo shoot after the wedding.

Seize the moment- Finale + Video!

Hope you had fun reading the Baby series #8 post

I am back after a break of two blog posts as I had some last minute shipping to do. I promise, you will soon have your eyes on it.
Yay! We are here at the final page of the baby book. Since I missed two posts, I decided to give you a bundle on this one. This post has the last pages and a video coming up. For those of you who are on a time crunch or have missed the baby series posts, scroll down to the end of this post for the video and the links to the other posts from this series.

Check out this page with 12 months of the baby and the cute clock denoting the time of birth.

You can move the hands of the clock to set the time of birth and cherish that moment forever.

The page below is the end cover page and can hold a picture of the whole family and has a huge pocket below.

The end cover of the book has the same wood grain finish as the front. I just love this finish.

Moving on to the video, I just want to let you all know that its my first time recording a video for you guys. So please take it easy on me as I promise to do better with the audio quality next time. Please watch the video and let me know what you thought. Leave me a comment on my blog, youtube or Facebook page and it will mean a lot to me.
Also, let me know if you liked the speed of the video or you would like it shorter. I would like to thank you all for watching my series and hope you enjoyed.

Baby Series #8

Hope you had fun reading the Baby series #7 post

For those of us who wish we were babies again, remember babies have a busier schedule than most of us. They are the fastest learners and are observing and grasping almost everything they see, touch and smell all at the same time. So let’s take a peek at their busy day lying around while managing to keep their parents on their toes.

Write all about what they love doing, what’s their favorite toy and also their favorite dress.
On the other side of this we have more dets on the baby’s life, what makes them happy and so on.
This little page opens up to hold pictures and journaling inside.
Stay tuned for the next series post to see more pages from the book.

Baby Series #7

Hope you had fun reading the Baby series #6 post.
These days babies get social media attention more than anyone. How many likes and comments do you put on Facebook and Twitter for your friends who have just become new parents? Any parent would want to hold on to those wishes even though they are electronic these days. Hey physical evidence is always better, in case Facebook decides to take all your wishes down someday.
These two pages are all about Social Media. We have The Times Of India layout on one side and social media layout on the other.
The right side is The Times of India front page with Mr. Obama on one side and Cricketer Yuvraj on the other. The headlines reads “A star has emerged today” and place for a picture.
It has little details about the day like, Today’s weather and gas price on the side bar. The Breaking news section has tidbits about Today’s news, Leaders today and In theaters today. I would like to thank my bestie Gayathri here for helping me with this layout. All I had to tell her was make this soon to come baby the headlines and she made the magic happen. She is the best!
On the left side we come to all the social media sites. There is a place to write all about your status update on Facebook or Twitter. The journal card has “You are so loved” written on it. A picture of your little one’s first social media appearance would fit perfectly in that polaroid photo frame.
The second half of the page holds a pocket with a huge Insta sweet icon. This is a perfect place to preserve the screenshots of your social media pages.

Can you see those zillion shiny cameras at the background? That’s paparazzi guys! *wink*. How fun was today’s layout. I just love it.
Stay tuned for the next series post to see more pages from the book.

Baby Series #6

TGIF guys! Hope you had fun reading the Baby series #5 post.

Today’s layout is all about Mommy & Daddy! Moms & dads have their own little tiffs claiming that the baby has taken after them. This is just a proof for the baby to see for itself, whom he/she has taken after.

The set of questions are identical for both mom and dad. So no fighting over that! The left page says Mommy its you & me and the right says Daddy its you & me.

I am not going to crowd this post by writing each question here. Just a few should give you the idea.
  • Mommy’s full name
  • Mommy’s nick name
  • Where was she born
  • Which school did she go to
  • What does mom call me

The three circles open up and have spaces for journaling and pictures inside. so this layout can hold from 6-12 pictures. You can even stick baby pictures of the parents and the baby showing resemblance.
I have added a little sticker on top of each page saying “So Cute” for mommy and “So Cool” for the daddy page. Below each page, I have added borders of little baby elephants holding on to each other and on the other side its a row of hearts.
Stay tuned for the next series post to see more pages from the book.
